But like Thatkid said, stock alt rewinds generally suck ass at lower rpm's depending on how big they went with it. A stock 65 amp alt being made into a 180-200 amp is a bad idea. Now taking a stok 120 and going to like 160-170 isnt quite as dramatic but you will still see lower end output suffer. Also remember that you are taking a stock case, cramming more shit in it and expecting its cooling to keep up. It doesnt work that way. Theres one problem though...a rewound stock alt most of the time still cant get near the output a high quality HO alt can. I would never suggest a rewind over a high output unless you have no cash to get a HO and its your only option. Even then I dont think its worth the money in most situations.
