People who tweak their audio settings to where "it sounds best" to their tone deaf ears. People bumping who are distorting like a mother. Bumping in inappropriate places and/or times. Brand fanboy/girlism. Hazardous wiring. Poor construction. Poorly thought out construction. Afterthought construction. System bullshiting. People spewing bullshit like they know what they are talking about but really don't have a fucking clue. And then when people believe them. (double whammy) Breaking shit you can't afford at the moment. And when they show you their two 10" Kickers(not hating on Kicker) on the 5000W amp with dual 40A fuses with their small power wires and capasitor - because of headlight dimming - with the ground on the thinnest sheat of metal you can find, without any part of "the big 3" done.. Oh, and when they're only running half power because of gain at 50%. And I've only heard a handfull of systems... bassrace Posted July 31, 2011 Report Posted July 31, 2011 I was explaining to my buddy about that(half gain half power).lol he knows everything b/c hes been doing it for years.lol i explained that his gain knob on his amp (hifonics "SUPER"(lol) class d amp) is not a volume knob he argued all night with me about it so i finally let him win. Guest Posted July 31, 2011 Report Posted July 31, 2011 when a kid brags about how nice his brand new mustang sounds with the shaker 500 system in it while playing low bitrate music at a distorting volume. while on the other hand, everyone knows that my car sounds so much nicer and cleaner (just comparing mids and highs) on less than "half" the power. (saying half because idk if that 500 means 500w max or rms. sure as shit doesnt sound like rms)

RobertoCredle Posted July 31, 2011 Report Posted July 31, 2011 1. a shit ton of pa speakers and bullet tweets in cars but only running sub setups of like 2 12"s or 4 sealed 15's in a upwards firing enclosure where hardly any of it can actually get in the car. 2. people asking me to build them a box, me giving them a cheap price (80-100 bucks for 2 12-15" box) them spending more for the crappy boxes the local shops sell, them still wondering why they can't get louder than my 1 15" 3.a bunch off 10-20 dollar chrome tweets everywhere in the car. them telling me "yeah u beating but need more highs" yeah i know that but i rather save up and do it the right way and at least mine sounds smooth (until you crank it) 4.people who think trunk rattle= loudest 5.people who are quick to paint their car some tacky ass two-tone, buy ugly ass 22-24's but don't want to buy the basic shit u need to install. 6. ikesound.com i had no problems with them back in '04 but when i tried to order a avh 4100dvd from them last year it took 2 weeks for them to tell me that it wasn't instock, I had been thinking that navi, and bluetooth would be more useful than dvd playback so i sent them more money to get the avic x710bt, and had to wait 2-3 more weeks for them to tell me it wasn't in stock and then thier price for it rose without it ever re stocking. i asked for a refund and just ordered from sonicelectronix. 7. how when u buy shit u find other equipment u like better for around the same price but it wouldn't be worth it to sell your shit for way less than u paid then add more money to get the new shit that u saw. I was split between the Fi bl and DC lvl 4xl and decided fi since i wouldn't have to bother findind a dealer. then i found out about the TFS edition lvl 4xl's that would have been just as easy to get my hands on,(i perfer the cosmetics of a full inverted dustcap than dome and i'm going for looks as well as performance in this build) or how i was considering running sundown amps but the SAZ1500d was way out my budget so i got the powerbass in my sig. then i found out recently i could have got a refurbed saz1500d from db-r.com for less than what i paid for my powerbass.
