Makes sense that it scores that much 4 8's 2 15's have near same amount of cone area but definatly more options with the 8's I wasn't some dd's my self. Very impressive numbers!

to clear this up....

cone area is defined by using a simple formula to determine the actual "square inches" ... obviously the sub is round and not square. If some of you actually paid attention in GENERAL MATH in school this is quite simple....

the formula is: 3.14R^2 (pi r squared)... radius is the distance from the center of the cone to the outside... being this is an 8" cone, the radius would be 4"

so the equation is 3.14 x 4 x 4= 50.24

Tj has four subs so you would multiply the 50.24 (which is the cone area of one sub) x 4 subs= 200.96

same thing with 15" would be... 3.14 x 7.5 x 7.5=176.625

since he had two subs it would be 176.625 x 2=353.25 sq inches

Just putting a random 2 cents here on the cone area comment.

You only figure half of the surround as radiating cone area..so an 8 would be 210cm^2 a 15 would be 810cm^2

(32.5 or so square inches per 8 and 125.5 per 15)

Turned out great :) glad you are happy with it TeejayBee!
