who can tel me wath type of bullet this is and for which gun ? or weapon

Vannos

do you have a set of calipers to measure the diameter? it looks like a bullet to me. someone could have dropped a round out of their vehicle, and someone could have run over it. that slow of penetration would not have caused any expansion, and would explain why the rear of it is beat up.

even if you just have a tape measure to lay it on top of, i could tell you alot about it.

btw - in relation to the size of the decals on your laptop, im willing to bet this is from either a 7mm mag, a 300 ultramag, or a 300wsm. its a little long to be from a .308.

It looks to me as if it punctured the tire in the treed area and was driven smashing the back creating the flange.

I'm gonna go with "nail" or "railroad spike" on this one.

Take a picture of the base of the "cartridge;" I'd like to see the percussion cap, if it has one..

Looks like a 7.62/30-06 round to me. Measurements seem to be pretty close from what I could gather in the pic.

not 7.62x39 but could be a smashed up ground down 7.62x54r. I'm guessing when that bullet was in its prime it was around 48 cm and there are a lot of caliper bullets that this one could fit. Almost impossible to guess with out exact measurements and even then there is still going to be several rounds that used the same size bullet.
