skittlesRgood
The build starts the first week of july, the plans call for the port to be 3 inch thick birch or MDF, I'll be mounting the amps inside the port as planned but with rubber gaskets and a soft layer of foam compressed between the amp and port wall. All that's left is to plan how to wire it pretty amps will be 2 DD M4a's hahahahaha. classic. someone asks a question, most people say "no, don't do it." and the person does it anyways. why even ask? he did learn from others experiance though really? he learned from the guy who showed a broken cap on his amp that was vibrated into breaking? i guess thats why he is doing it anyway... cause he learned. i dont think it will matter how strong the port wall is. the amp will be in the most violent spot possible. the board inside the amp will vibrate and flex. If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood. TheyDontWantMusic
just open up the amplifier and put a few blobs of silicone here and there (between the component and the PCB) on the larger components so they don't resonant.

kingsuv
You guys can't honestly think having amps in a port is a good idea right? Designing, building, and shipping boxes. Yahoo IM - kingsuv00If the listening level is too loud, please inform the driver, so he can promptly pull over, and let you out. not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.

Neo_frog
JJust noticing a trend here... Another OP asking a question where he doesn't really care about the answers. Most of those who are renowned for getting flamed or being worthless contributors or just plain noobs are saying yes. Most of those who are experienced installers, been in the game a long time, and have proven themselves on the forum are saying no. Hmmm.... This is the reason every so often there is an exodus on these forums. Need an install? Hit me up.[email protected]Got car audio questions?
