The Big Oki
Oki City will be around wed Jan 23rd. Hopefully I will visit the DD factory. I will stay with Mike Hughes and meet up with Tracy also for Dinner. So this day is already full. But we can meet up in Mikes shop I think. Lets figure that out. How far are you away. Ft. Wayne is just a short stop to see Chris Norris, visited him last year for two days. This year maybe 30 minutes or so. Sacramento should be Fri. Jan 11th. Just have one afternoon, maybe Dinner. I must see some of Steves Machines ! One of the tours Highlights ! Unfortunately the STATES ARE BIG ! You ever recognized that ? haha. (I drove already almost the same way before, well over 25 000 miles since 2000) So I drive hours to see people for minutes, but better than nothing hu? But I can stay at some peoples house to have more time and safe money. So I pay with my "Food for Shelter" programme Üüüühh!!! Michael www.SQPL.de Rulez! cavi_in_kc
Michael, welcome to SMD. Love all the pictures of your build. that I will come to Sacramento Friday Jan 11th to meet up with some folks and have some fun ! Man how I wish that was one or two days earlier. I'll be out in that area for the previous week, but am leaving the 11th. Would have been nice to meet you, even if it was just for a quick chat. I do hope you enjoy your nice long trip. Nice name by the way. Mike Roth
The Big Oki
Wow nice installs, seems like a experineced vet in the audio world to me... I have seen your name around here on these forums, and other websites for a few years, never knew who you were really, but now Iam seeing... nice work man That Zapco set up, the wall, is that considered bandpass? looks like adjustable wall of some sort from the pictures, sliding width wise ports to adjust freq?? Yes, its planned, calculated and built as a bandpass, as bandpasses are my favourite systems. The more chambers the better But this is just a single reflex bandpass, no big deal. Just the calculations are different, according to my experience from the past, I never do what the programme says, but I need the first calculations from it. Then I put my own parameter together with it. Sounds weird but is like riding a bicycle, dont know why it works, but I can... If I just would go with SPL, I can put everything out and just put a wall in. And you never will think it looked different before. Maybe I do that on e day, just for the fun... Üüüühh!!!
