build it strong. i cant see it taking 7k thermally. there arent alot of woofers that can.

i think the xxx could take 7k if built in a small enough box. i would build it around 7 cubes net, then just start testing and shrinking it down with 2x4's. then when you're fially happy with the box. build a pretty one lol.

I'll admit, I'm a bit of a noob (read: relatively clueless), but I THINK smaller boxes only help with power handling if its mechanical limitations like the coil jumping the gap/bottoming out. I don't THINK it will help with thermal power handling.

Isn't this why with SA-8s you can give them hella power but you have to build the box super small?

Can someone chime in and correct me if I'm wrong?

whats the electrical gunna be like to support that amp?...

(where would u put batts?)

Around here, this one competitor had I believe a 9 cu. ft. ported box for an 18" in a 93-97 Honda Accord. The backseat was taken out because the box went all the way to the back of the front seats, sub firing upwards behind the seats, and the port was at the rear of the car. This was a trunk car though.
