I'll admit, I'm a bit of a noob (read: relatively clueless), but I THINK smaller boxes only help with power handling if its mechanical limitations like the coil jumping the gap/bottoming out. I don't THINK it will help with thermal power handling. Isn't this why with SA-8s you can give them hella power but you have to build the box super small? The backseat was taken out because the box went all the way to the back of the front seats, sub firing upwards behind the seats, and the port was at the rear of the car. This was a trunk car though.
