well, i just graduated high school and now im really not doing much of anything but working and partying and being hungover.

and my job has cut crazy hours for awhile and is getting annoying. i have 15 hrs this week, when i used to have atleast 30.

so my plan is, i wanted to put an ad on craigslist for box building and system installs, and in the ad explain how my skills are, and if theyre interested, ill demo my car. this is just to have some extra cash.

ill say im not expert, but ill get your shit loud.

i can do designs, but if it comes to it, ill pay someone on the forums for a design and just build it.

a lot of people know of me, and ive had shops want me to come to their shop and listen to it.

im not that loud compared to some of you guys on here, but where im from... ill put it this way, the majority of the kids i see with systems, just a cut a hole in the box to make a port.

and the shops are about stupid.

any suggestions on how i could do this and if its a good idea? thanks guys

this was one of the first things i thought about. like if i did someones car, and lets say a lil panel clip or something broke off, im screwed. but its really the modern cars that are a pain in the ass. my car has nothin but screws, but i did a buddys caddy and that thing was a bitch!

^ this!

ive done a few box builds on the side and installs and honestly i hate working on other cars besides mine, mainly for the fact that i know how to work on my car, and if anything breaks its my fault on my truck

on of the boxes i built for my buddys truck ended up being to big but my other friend thought he could force it in

i said i have nothing to do with this but the guy let him, and by the end of it the box didnt fit and the trunk wouldnt close

i gave him his money back and he left, the the trunk not closing was not my fault

I have built boxes for a few people.. And I always tell them every thing is set right " Don't adjust the gain's" if you play with the settings its your problem if something happens. Definitely be upfront with them so they know the consequences.

Like N8 said you will be the one they come to if they screw something up.

I have had no one come back complaining and they were all happy so far.

A lot of good points being made here...also, almost goes without saying but, don't pay for anything then expect reimbursement. get the money first, then buy what you need. Always money up front.
