scooter99 Posted December 17, 2012 Report Posted December 17, 2012 What were your scores before? I don't remember. How do you find "your peak" too? Facebook Page: S99Creations 2006 F250 Lariat Build
HatersGonnaHate Posted December 17, 2012 Author Report Posted December 17, 2012 Last year, my score was like 135.6 or 136 or something like that. Haven't metered since. Had a local test and tune that I went to and pulled these numbers. We just ran a set of sweeps from 15hz up to 100 hz while on the meter, peaked highest between 46hz and 56 hz, played a 40hz to 60hz sweep and found that the peak was 50 or 51. I read through Ray's testing spreadsheet awhile ago and knew that my car peaked high as hell, and when I did it by ear, I figured I was roughly peaking at 45hz. Omega5002 Posted December 17, 2012 Report Posted December 17, 2012 Seems like trunk cars tend to peak high, like mine peaks at 54hz when in the kick. 2003 Kia Sorento Team Subsonic LowsTeam Bassin' on a Budget2016 Rebuild Under Construction Best score: 150.2 at 40hz (3k, 2 Custom HDC3 15's) Usaci style(door open, in the kick)

I love the way it sounds and really wouldn't change a thing about it. If it was easier to pull the box back out and play with box positioning, I would. But I'm happy with it and it's gonna stay this way til I'm done with the audio scene. Or til I upgrade But other than a complete seal-off, no further changes in mind at the moment. He's gonna wall it off next week! 6 12's ported! If I had a second car, I definitely would though lol. LOL.... My TSX was at 49-51 as well....EDIT-im talking peak, not DB. Think it's just a trunk car deal in general. Not a hatchback, just trunks. I know hatches and CRX's and such get loud easily, but unsure of their peaks. But like Omega said vvvvv, his peaks high as well. Yes I've got a sunroof, and when I actually come across a full day to test, I'll start messing with the little things like seat position, visors up, visors down, sunroof "door" open or closed, all that lovely stuff to figure out where the db's are hiding Seems like trunk cars tend to peak high, like mine peaks at 54hz when in the kick. Have you done anymore testing with yours yet? Or just go to a show and got metered? Omega5002 Posted December 19, 2012 Report Posted December 19, 2012 I went to a test and tune on a show since I can't afford, or know anyone with a termlab. 2003 Kia Sorento Team Subsonic LowsTeam Bassin' on a Budget2016 Rebuild Under Construction Best score: 150.2 at 40hz (3k, 2 Custom HDC3 15's) Usaci style(door open, in the kick)
HatersGonnaHate Posted December 19, 2012 Author Report Posted December 19, 2012 I would love to own one, just can't justify dropping $700 on one. Wouldn't mind going halves on it with someone local though.
