AMI CUSTOMS Posted December 11, 2011 Report Posted December 11, 2011 Well I managed to get an 82mm pulley on in place of one of the other 76mms, but got a very loud intermittent "chirping" noise when I turned the engine on. Obviously some component was not happy with the increased tension. The noise went away when I restored the original pulley. Guess I'll just have to live with the belt squeal that remains... More then likely that was the water pump u were hearing and like I had mentioned prior, it will slip unless you can increase tension at the alts and not the other components.
