fuck the plating. look at what the main metal used is. you could buy unicorn blood plated terminals but if its just covering up dog shit, whats the point

I'll admit, half way through sanding that fiberglass in the rain and cold while I was all itchy I was definitely starting to question why i was doing this haha

IMO i think if hairtricks is one of your main goals in this build, you don't quite have enough to reach that goal with power. to support the amp you're gonna need batteries and alternators and that will eat away at your budget fast.

i think your best bet is go with more surface area. i'd look into a couple 18's because i'm not sure you'd have the space for 4 15's. drop them in a really nice box, preferably designed by one of the pros on the forums here. i've seen some of Ramdesign's work and it seems pretty solid. but i'm sure there are others who do fine work as well. just have to shop around

possibly a couple of FI Q 18's. i hear they sound amazing and are built like tanks. get an aq 2200d or some other amp around 2k

some 1/0 and a d3100 and that should do you pretty good. maybe an alt. overkill on electrical isn't a bad idea.

the other problem i see you running into is with 2k of bass, you'll need some mids and highs as well. unless you already own a little something, you might need to figure that into the budget

hope that helps :good:

Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs.

More box builds

some cars do over 170db with one sub, so clearly my two 12"s can do that in my car, with my knowledge too! look out bitches!

I'm with captain stupid.

$1600 budget?

2 AQ HDC3 18s- $300 a piece or so

1 Crecendo BC2000- $339 I believe

1 XS D3100- $350-$400

Use the rest to buy materials for an enclosure and wiring :P

I like this one.

You may be offended by the above. Don't take it personally, I'm just abrasive.
