How would I go about figureing out the length of the piece of wood I want to bend? The way I do it is I get a scrap piece do a "test kerf", measure the slits from where they start to where they end, then add that to the lengths of the two unkerfed pieces on sketchup.... So, basically make a test one until you find the right bend. Well this is the way I do it: like in this case I did a test piece, came out to 11 cuts, half-inch spacing, 3.25" radius, 5 1/8 from first to last slit, so: after that, I measured the port wall/side & added in the 5 1/8".. So 16 1/8" + 17 1/8" + 5 1/8" = 38 3/8" piece & start kerf cut at 17 1/8"....hope I didn't confuse you.. I think I get it... I just don't think I have enough room to do it... damn! Well on both sides any ways. Thanks for the help! yea, these kerfs take up a bit of space, you also gotta calculate the 45 that goes on the inside, in this case it was a 5" 45!..... No problem man! Thanks man...pretty much it acts like a flare on an aeroport, db-wise, not too sure, I've read that it does nothing audibly, but since it helps with airflow it would make sense if it does..
