After reading through the manual a couple times, I have another question. It says to find the max volume at 40hz and the max at 1000hz, and then use the AVERAGE of the 2 numbers as the max undistorted volume. Shouldn't you use the lower of the 2 numbers so there is no distortion playing full range (music)?

I have a valid question about the test CD. My deck is Ipod only, is it just normal tones on the CD that I could DL from Itunes? If I burn the disc it will downgrade the source material

We already went over this. Change the import settings on your iTunes to 'Lossless".
