BassMunky
Anyone got any good tips on how to adjust them? How much of was your guys one from the factory settings? I tried to set it today and it was only .1 off from the factory. idk will try again tomorrow. i using a dmm,but would a fluke mm be better? i did the big 3 and have a die hard platinum battery with a stock 80 alt. It sits at 13.6. Im thinking something wrong right now. maybe too small wire cause only running 8 gauge for my amp that has 600watts. i am gonna upgrade to 0 gauge with my new setup. LoudBimmer
why would you adjust volt meter?
memphisBred
You have to calibrate the stinger meter. That's why you adjust it. Or else it may read 12 volts when it's actually 14 volts at the batteries. SMD Super Seller/Buyer Audison----Hertz----Rainbow
AMI CUSTOMS
It is calibrated at the factory you normally won't have to adjust it, the last four I have installed were dead on to my fluke dmm. memphisBred
The first one I had was off .3 volts. I kind of over did it with the 2 volt difference. SMD Super Seller/Buyer Audison----Hertz----Rainbow
BassMunky
do you think 0 gauge power wire will raise the volts? im running 8 gauge right now Shakin not Stirred....my buildhttp://www.stevemead...ngle-cab-build/412 CVX And put a sealed enclosure in your trunk cut a hole in your deck and call it ported
blownengine
why would you adjust volt meter? Because I always want to think my 12 volt system is really 18 volts. MOOAARR POOOWWWWAAAA! Stephen
stinger meter sucks for accuracy. I checked against a calibrated power supply at work FRESH from the cal lab. and you can adjust at say 14.5 volts and then drop the voltage to 12v and it will be off .2-.3 volts. power supply is accurate to 1/1000th of a volt and double checked it with an agilent 6.5 digit meter. you can cook bacon shirtless if you're not a pussy...lol not hatin, but am i wrong here it looks as if the amp is not grounded its hooked directly to the battery. it that the way it should be. OrionStang
I just installed a Stinger, had to calibrate it (.2 off). It is accurate at 14volts (idle) and 13volts (full tilt). Tested against my dmm. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
armykyle1
my stinger volt meter was off by 2 volts and now I have to constantly adjust it. I've rewired it a few times. the mm you have should be pretty close imo...
