jojodancer Posted September 5, 2011 Report Posted September 5, 2011 hello i have a 2001 tahoe, i have question or two. i am adding about 2400 lbs. of audio to it. i want to keep my balance on my truck so i can enjoy driving it. do i need rear air bags or stiffer springs? any advice will help. thanks. You could stiffen the rear springs and drop the front to level out the ride. Adjusting ride height on torsion bars is stupid simple! Edited for accuracy. **Looks like 2001 is Coil spring in the rear. 99fullsizechevy Posted November 15, 2011 Report Posted November 15, 2011 You would have to do a 2-3 in lift coil, but the ride will suffer a little.. your going with a stiffer spring that is compressed a lot which makes it even stiffer..
