WillPwn4Food
So how many watts is everyone running to their Level 4's daily? I hear some say they won't handle that much, and some say they will... Thinking about walling 2 level 4 18's on the DC 3.5k. Too much power for them? I'd really rather not have to upgrade to the XLs, but any sort of input is welcome. new guy
id think that would be a little too much power. just turn the gain down a bit and you should be fine. also, you better do a build log i wanna see this. You see, that's what I kind of thought. 1750 to each is 750 over rms recommendation... But DC has always been known to underrate their subwoofers. They're pretty godly. I kind of figured with 5 soft parts it'd be able to handle it no problem. I'll have to check with CJ or someone before I order. And I'll know if my build goes through within a week or so. All depends on my financial situation, of course. Took all of this week off due to a fever If I do, you can sure as hell expect a build log. ChevyBoy95
youll be fine wit the 3500 on 2 lvl4s thats actually imo the perfect power for lvl4s meh. your going to want to back the gain down, or make the box a little smaller than recommended. I used 3 different set ups with level 4s and they didnt like more that 1500rms in spec box. Thermally they can handle more like 2k, but mechanically is what you want to watch when throwing double rms at them. But what your asking, a 3500 on 2 4s would be fine, just let them loosen up then adjust accordingly. I ran 1500 to one of my level 4s for about 6 months and could never get it hot, but if i wanted to bottom it out, i could. ChevyBoy95
yea, but idk how much experience the OP has with them, or using double the rms. techforce
From what I seen, the regular 4's do good with about 1100-1200 watts RMS to them... anything more they will heat up... (But it is a fun ass ride getting there!) But for the price of the subs, they are well worth it for what they do!!! If you have more power, you will tend to try to get it out of them....
