lifted_silverado
Wire crimpers/cutters, butt splices or caps your choice. Phillips and flat head screwdriver 2 hands and alot of patients, maybe A drill depending on where you mount your box Everythings in the attic or garage since the truck was sold last year. New build should be coming soon in a dodge cummins
jeyrapboy
I have installed a alarm myself, so this is what i would do Solder Soldering iron Heat shrink/ Electrical tape Wire cutters/ strippers Various screw drivers and you might need a socket set depending on your car Also self tapping screws will help mount the shock sensor and Brain Thats pretty much the basics, Do yourself a favor and solder ALL your connections, avoid T-Taps. You DO NOT want your connections coming loose on something thats supposed to help protect your car.

Phive
Try to use a data module for the install. It'll make it alot easier. For the PK3 bypass, you need either a 555u, and either a working key, or an uncut unprogrammed key. The truck has a chip in the key. All of the wires for the start/alarm are really easily accessible at the BCM, which is right under the steering column below the dash. Oh, and these trucks DO NOT like the window module, for some reason. Front Stage: Kicker QS 65.2 Components, MB Quart Reference 5.25 in the a pillars, Midbass: Kicker CVT8's in the rear doors, Headunit: Pioneer DEHP880PRS - Running Active Amps: US AMPS XT1600.4/XT800.4 No beat yet. Twitter Soon as remote start season ends, I'll be able to work on my car some more.
mbdblue
no one mentioned a DDM??? that should have been at the top of the list. or at the very least, a 12v test light. never assume its the right wire. Real96SS
I have a test light already from my first alarm install(That was installed but had problems due to me not soldering any of the wires). This time I plan on doing everything right. So for the remote start I just need that 555u and whats the data module? mylow907
don't use a test light! use a multimeter or a logic probe snap-on sells them, go to a local dealer and get a "cansl2-pl" that will do just aboout everything. or directered has a mod you can use less wires connections. And use a db-all will make it cake. windows you will need to go in all the doors to do it. have fun its an easy truck. make sure you solder all connections and
