matt14
Did he by some chance disconnect a speed sensor or "stretch" the sensor to where the wires may break inside? Did he just do pads or did he also do rotors as well Quote 2006 GMC YukonPioneer HU SHCA ran throughout Crescendo BC3500 One 18 AA Mayhem in a 4th order ZED Levithian 6 channel Rainbow Dual 6.5 comps ran Activehttp://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/155628-matt14s-yukon-mayhem-in-a-4th-ordernew-amps-and-bats/page-
HatersGonnaHate
Sounds like your friend might have screwed up the ABS modulator when he was compressing the caliper pistons. If the ABS is screwed up, the regular brakes will still function normally, but I'd recommend taking it to a garage and have them check it out. 01VWGREENMACHINE
he either broke the wires to your abs sensors or broke a sensor. the sensors are mounted on the steering knuckle usually with an allen bolt holding it in place check the wires. but more then likely you will be replacing one of the sensors if not both. to solve your issue. if your sensors check out then i would remove the caliper and check for leaks around the pistons (the rubber surround) if he tore the rubber compressing the pistons back into the calipers you could be getting break fluid on the rotors and your abs is trying to compensate for that. get it checked asap though and let us know Edited September 12, 2011 by 01VWGREENMACHINE Quote http://www.stevemead...f-system-build/ 2001 VW GTI with a 1.8T motor BIG 3 Pioneer AVH-4200DVD DOUBLE DIN HEAD UNIT 6 - 4 VOLT PREOUTS RF T1500-BDCP (running at 2 ohm) RF T400.4 RF T1 D212 x2 (in ported box) RF 1/0 TO 4 GAUGE distribution block x 2 all stinger wires 200a alternator (SINGER ALT) RF T2652-S (6.5 MID BASS AND 1" TWEETS in front and rear) KINETIC HC 800 BATTERY (Front) KINETIC HC 1200 BATTERY (BACK) 120ft of 1/0 stinger blue and clear matt 20ft of 4 gauge stinger blue and clear matt 30ft of 8 gauge stinger blue and clear matt 100ft of 12 gauge stinger speaker wire black

BigPimpin91
*brake You're an ass, Ray. LoL As mentioned check the wheel speed sensors. Commonly broke item to people who don't pay attention to them. Also, it's possible that he may have bled them wrong if that was done. ABS vehicles have a special bleeding procedure that is unique to each car. If there's air in the lines still, your ABS system could be going nuts trying to compensate for it. EBW
Humm... did he bleed the brakes after he was done? The sensor is in the hub not the caliper like others said check the sensor wires, the abs modulator rarely goes out if the wire/connectors are fine bleed your brakes.
