woodzyspl Posted October 10, 2011 Report Share Posted October 10, 2011 with my trunk being i could only get sound out off top deck and through middle seatr as steel all around, with 1 15 and dc 9k at 18v droping to 14-15v after 3-5 second burp we got 147.0 as a pb. with more tuning id say we could of MAYBE cracked the 150 but it is hard as shit to get loud in a trunk, i admire anyone over 150 without sealing it off tho..our teammate did 149 with whole rear seat down. soundcheck11 Posted October 10, 2011 Report Share Posted October 10, 2011 I know a guy that has dropped a 33hz tone at 148 with 1 18 on roughly 2k of power. was in a bmw estate car. Very similar to a passat. 48 are not that hard but it does come down to the acoustics of the car. Got any sound deadner in the car? try to eliminate as many rattles as possible. Do a sub up and port firing back. Upgrade wiring if you havent done yet. theres alot of minor stuff you can do to get a 48 with 3.3krms. it will be tedious but worth it in the end. Good luck!! And only 1K from a 3500? Damn I'd be disappointed, that is until I seen that 53.... Chode69 Posted October 10, 2011 Report Share Posted October 10, 2011 im upset with my power output vs the score,guy has 2 15s clamping at 1000 watts doing a 153, on 3300rms i should be doing a 148 out of the trunk easy your comparing a trunk car to a pick up in the kick with a higher tuning and the doors open. a trunk car is HARD to get loud...plus whats really hurting you is seeing Terry doing upper 50s in a PURE SPL set up. gotta stop comparing yourself to TOTALLY different set ups and focus on your own. w that power/car your doing a great score.
