Hifonics bxi2610D. man, any sub running hard for 1 hr 2x a day will get really hot. But that's not the point here. Anyone have any good input other than recone?

MSRP 10"-$609, 12"-$629, 15"-$699, 18"-$759

thats for the DD. And it takes 1200 watts rms (im guessing it'll do 2k no sweat though). A bit high in price. As for the BTL, it was my daily sub. My commute is over 45 min each way every day and I like to pound my subs. So ~45 min +3k +1 year = user error

Fixed. Sorry, but I have been slamming on BTLs until the cows come home, 4,000 watts RMS (Three 15" BTLs on three RF T4000s) never dropping below 14.3 volts for HOURS at a time. Just saying. That if there is in fact, user error leading to the death of this equipment, it does not matter what you buy. You will continue to create paper weights.

Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

And I can see that the general consensus may not be what you are looking for, but you have to understand. If you are burning these up, you are doing something wrong. And if that is not corrected, it matters 0 what sub you replace it with. And if you're looking for cheapest option, recones and enclosure much cheaper than a new sub ;)

I guessed it!

Do what i said two posts ago. I have that same amp just for shits and gigs. Im only riseing to 1.8ohm on 50hz with voltage staying at 13.8 and it clamped 634watts. Its also going to a btl. You fryed that sub from clipping.

alright thx for your input. Guess ill go buy another amp, buy a recone, get a new alt and some xtra bats and ill be set. Sounds good. Just for the record, shit happens to equipment with moving parts, also could be a defect with the sub. You guys don't know for SURE what happened because you can't see it. So you're all assuming my setup is clipping and seeing dirty power. And I don't want to argue with you guys about it, if you don't have any good input into this then please don't "help" me by telling me I need to change out all my equipment that's been working for me for years.

btw I had a hifonics OLM 12 being pushed for 2 years the same power as my btl and it took it like a champ, that sub cost me $230. So, ya.
