box help

Recommended Posts

ok im using torres calculator and i noticed that the smaller the box the harder it is to get the tuning down for example say you have a 3.5^3 box it is nearly impossible to get the tuning below 65 but if i make the box bigger i can get the tuning down, but if its bigger wont i tear the surrounds??? sorry for the run on sentence. just trying to explain my thought process and my confusion.

show me what you're working with, that sounds kind of weird. what kind of subs are you using?

and no a bigger box doesn't necessarily mean you tear the surrounds.

Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs.

More box builds

some cars do over 170db with one sub, so clearly my two 12"s can do that in my car, with my knowledge too! look out bitches!

I'm with captain stupid.

you should be able to tune below 65 easily. just play around with the port dimensions

Your putting in way too much port area. What kinda sub is going in it? Aim your port area somewhere in the range it gives you. That puts you between 12 and 16sq inched of port you have over 20.

spl dust is an option you can get on the coils... it's great for extra 1000 watts of power
