Real96SS
Yeah its really tight and Im hoping it releases some of the tension so the tensioner goes back to the normal position or at least close. So Ray when you wire two alternators do you have to have a plug for both or not?Reason I asked is because the harness I got only has one plug on it. Real96SS
That belt is ultra-tight, my guess is the tensioner will loosen up a tad with 10 minutes of driving, but best to turn it on for the first time with the engine open so you can hear if any strange noises are being made (i.e. if any OEM accessory bearings are being stressed, this could cause a rhythmic "chirping" noise). I started the truck up and everything sounded good.I let it run for about 10 minutes and today I will take it out and drive it some to see if that belt goes back a little. Here's the picture of the harness and if your saying that it should have 2 plugs then I guess they sent the wrong one. Real96SS
Going to get in touch with DC and have them send me the right harness.I have time since I'm just now measuring out all the wire runs.I can get all the wires ran and ready so that when I get the new harness I can just connect everything.3 of my batteries should be here this week also.I'm not in a hurry as you can tell.I work on this build when I can.Just lately I been able to hit it at least for an hour everyday because I'm off work until next week. Thanks for the help Merz Vehicle 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche(Co-Co) DNX9980HD 6 Team Fi 15's(King Edition) 3 DC 9k's 8 Nendo PWX 8's 4 Custom Steg 4" Super Tweeters 1 DC Audio 175.4 1 DC Audio 90.4 Rockford 360.3 3 DC Power 370xp Alts(Externally regulated) 21 D1600's 2 D4800's All SMD RCA's AudioTechnix Deadner Viper Alarm My YouTube- http://www.youtube.c...NG?feature=mhee Link to buildlog- http://www.stevemead...4-15s-2-dc-9ks/ Link to UBL- http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/165059-ublkings-avalanchecoco-new-build-starting8-king-edition-15-team-fis-in-a-wallyes-a-wall/
Real96SS
So a little update.Today I cut the wood for the amp rack and the second rear wall of the box for extra support. Also I still haven't been able to get in touch with anyone from DCPower. Waiting on replies back to my emails and from Kyle here on the forum. On another note I did measure the power and ground wire from the front battery to the rear.Doing 1 positive and 1 negative run from each alternator to the front battery. Then 2 runs of positive from the front battery to the back battery bank and 1 negative run. This should be enough runs seeing how 1/0 is rated at 350amps and 3500watts.Anybody think otherwise please say something. Edit: Just got an email from Stan new harness should be going out in the morning. Siete_Cinqo
Not enough wire bud. I have 3 positive and 2 negative runs. I drop a full volt from front battery to my 4500 wired at .5 ohm. And as I believe you know. that's with dual 270 alts, 1 d3100, 1 d2700 under the hood and 3 d3100's in the back. lilone71742
I am tuned in to this build as well . I have been having issues figuring out what ride I wanted next and you are making it easy for me to choose. Its tough for a tall guy 6"8 to find a full sized ride while making sure your family have enough room (and of course some sounds). I still have a few months before I'm gonna make any moves to buy so I'm sure I'll get some great ideas from your build. I'm sure you hear this, but I make a habit to say this to every soldier I have ever met. Thanks for what you do for our country! Its the people such as your self that serve our country and make it safe for us to live here. 2006 Chevy Trailblazer ~ KX 1200.1 ~ 2 Skar VVX 15" ~Big 3 upgrade ~ Pioneer AVH 4100 ~ 275 Amp Singer Alt ~ PRV 6.5 front doors~ 6000K Hids
