But didnt spill my beer Rebuild Log with the SMD CURRENT.. Didn't have a stereo till 6 months later when they finally gave it back. Never going to best buy EVER again. Hideous customer service. SoCaLBaMF Posted November 15, 2011 Report Posted November 15, 2011 Accidentally touching a negative wire onto a positive post on a Kinetik HC2000... one loud pop sent my ears ringing for a while. Broken pieces on door panels. Door panels that arn't mine so it's ok. (Right? ) I cant think of anything else really bad that I have done. Quiet Posted November 15, 2011 Report Posted November 15, 2011 Mine are just goofy "duh" moments Halfway toasted a pair of JL 10w1 original series subs. Didn't know why until I joined SMD and got learned up real good 'n all. I was using a cheapo LOC and apparently my factory head unit is like 40 watts RMS per channel. They got real stinky and then would only play about 60% as loud as they used to. Then I sold them for $10 more than I bought them for. Connected my power cable to the power post on the fuse block instead of directly to the battery, and a really shitty ground as well to the underside of the rear deck. Amp is probably gone by now, haven't had it hooked up in a while. We'll see. Oh, and I built a 3.5 cube box for my RF P1 15, so I could move to something like a level 4 or HDC 3 15 in the future, put it on a build log, and then realized that my 20 sq in port is too small. 3.3 sq in per cube? Do you ever facepalm because of your own stupidity? 2007 Pacifica Rebuild. Less quiet. Still not loud.

Boy he wanted to kill me...actually he tried but I'm a small guy so shake n bake shake n bake.
