illusionENT7151
i have two md 15's and i purposly blew them both so i can get them reconed by FI. lucky for me FI is here in Vegas. I know its a knock off thing to do. but i bought these subs before i learned anything about fi. and i found out that MD stole a lot of FI's ideas. therefore FI is able to work on my motors because they are almost the exact same question. they are putting 2ohm coils on them. my question is what is the BEST way to wire them up and get the most power out of my amp without blowing my coils out again? loudNlow87
If you're blowing them up, don't wire them lower than 2 ohms. Wire at .5 and you'll probably blow both subs and the amp. illusionENT7151
i originally had them wired at .5 but i just found a wiring diagram to wire 2ohm load to a 1ohm load. is that even possible? pa-pa-platypus
if they havent been reconed already you could get dual 4 to get a 1 ohm load..but if they have possible get 2 of the same amp and strap them and wire to 2 ohms Quote This isn't teeball. n8ball2013
You're high as a kite if you think that they are almost the same thing. FI can recone them because they have an inhouse mad scientist and know what will fit. No. Not into 1 channel anyways. Two dual 2's can wire to .5-, 2- or 8-ohms. If you ran two separate amps you could run each sub at 1-ohm.
