kingsuv
Will most likely build one this weekend. Designing, building, and shipping boxes. Yahoo IM - kingsuv00If the listening level is too loud, please inform the driver, so he can promptly pull over, and let you out. not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.
kingsuv
90+ this weekend. Not use to working in the heat so soon in the year. Plan is to push through and get this one finished. It's all down to the small details now. making sure every little detail on the things I have done are done to perfection. Couple panels to address in the rear as I don't like the overlay panel. Going to redo it which means a re carpet of all the panels as the black doesn't match. Couple little petty things I just can't let go on. First thing today was to add the remote bass knob. David Navone Engineering is hands down one of my best resources for trick items. One being the bass knob I use. (N-22v) I've been using them for about 10 years now and have never had one go bad. http://www.davidnavone.com/ Now I could of just drilled a hole somewhere in the dash and been done with it. But frankly, it would of looked like ass and a after thought addon. The cig lighter is where I decided to put the bass knob. Now the lighter case slides into the dash and has a keeper that screws in the end. This ment that I had to have a way to drop the case in and still be able to lock it in from the rear. I started out using some Nylon spacers I have and was able to thread in the bass knob. Being the way the lighter case was, I was not able to use the mounting nut, so I made my own. I then put the newly threaded nylon spacer in the back of the lighter case and ca glued it in. At the same time, I used the knob cap and glued it into the gutted lighter. In the next few pics is where it gets tricky. I can't mount the bass knob until it is fully mounted in the car. Which means I can't tighten the cap until it's mounted in the car. So I had to make some access holes. The cap part. Next was the casing. And finally the mounting sleeve. Eyeballed all 3 and came up pretty damn close. And finally mounted. kingsuv
dope!!!! glad it worked Me too. I get lucky once in awhile. I had just ran across a bin of random nylon spacers at blue collar and decided to grab a few handfuls just to have. It's almost like the one was milled to fit just in the casing Designing, building, and shipping boxes.
