412 CVX
Apparently this thing takes 6kw RMS, 20k peak. i'm a little skeptical of those numbers, but it does have a 4" flatwound VC apparently. looks like this here's a linky to the specs Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs. Lbox88
Interesting to say the least. Would like to play with it if I had the extra money. I mean 82 lb motor, SPL of 95, looks like it could be fun at least to play with. Spec sheet UBL | Build Log
412 CVX
Just took a look at the spec sheet. The enclosure recommendations are interesting to say the least. for "flattest response" they recommend 3 cubic feet, tuned to 47 hz... 3 cubic feet sounds about right for a 15, but tuning to 47 hz for "flattest response", which i assume means for a daily/musical setup, seems really high. It gets even weirder with their next enclosure recommendation "super SPL": 7 cu. ft. tuned to 66hz with 2" wall thickness... i hope they meant gross volume, rather than net. maybe i'm misreading or something, but 7 cubic feet for a single 15 seems HUGE. especially for an SPL setup where the sub is typically getting more power. usually with more power you'd want a smaller box to help control excursion. the 2" wall thickness seems like overkill as well.. i dunno about this one. food for thought. TeamHT
Um...this was added to their website like back in July...have yet to see a price. And you don't need to tune low to hit low, their specs make sense to me. Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
