Our older dog, almost 3 now. Half mini phantom poodle, half west highland whit terrier. Guess who picked him out?

Also rescued this one. Half mini poodle half king charles spaniel. Was underfed and covered in flees when we got her.

but WHY so many ppl have pit bulls?? i personally hate the dogs bc when i was 6 i got mauled pretty bad by a pit bull..

id just assume to shoot a pit nowadays..

so i gotta ask why do ppl like them so much..around here u gotta have a 100,000 dollar insurance policy and a 6ft tall fence

Long story short: all depends on how they are raised. In the wrong hands, your situation arose. In the right hands, many people will tell you they are the most loyal, playful, and far from vicious. My wife worked at a humane society for several months and watched more golden retrievers and german shepards get put down for attacking people and not once was a pit put down. The office dog (one dog they let run around to make sure it is well tempered) was a pit bull. She came in one day and sat down at the desk, and the pit walked up, climbed in her lap(all 90 lbs of dog, lol), and licked her face and tried to lay down. It all depends on the situation and upbringing of the dog.

Also for example, I was attacked when I was 6 too, for trying to get the neighbors dog away from the cat food. latched onto my face and later I ended up with 13~15 stitches. It was a 18 lb weiner dog. My wife was attacked around 7 or 8 and it was by a german shepard mix. So like I stated, depends on how they're raised.

EDIT: and some states/cities are going so far as to make it illegal to own them (Colorado)

EDIT2: The humane society also would accept Chow/german shepard with the understanding that it was to be put down immediately. They would not keep them. They were known in the area to have the most erratic behavior and someone would always get attacked by it.

Cuz idk how much people take it serious but BSL is a bad thing. Remember when that had to do with humans? It was called something like discrimination.

call the ohio humane society they will tell you 100gs insurance and 6ft fence..if you have a pit

i know this for a fact bc when i lived with my mother the neighbors got a pitbull named rocky..

everyday he would escape and come try fighting my mothers dogs.. 1 day that pit pretty much killed our border colley..my stepdad walked out there and blew its head clean off with a 12g..

within 20mins we had 9 cop cars out there and guess what.. they sited the neighbor with a assload of fines and the such..bc they had no insurance policy nor a fence

and we didnt even get a slap on the wrist..

That's Murphy and Molly. Murphy's in the front. Murphy is a german shepard/blue healer mix, and Molly is a blue healer/border collie mix. They're about 12 years old now. Old pups... Molly is starting to have problems with her hips. If you wanna read it all, it's on my tumblr page.

^^^ get this product called cosequinn (check spelling)..

i seen it advertised on commercial for arthritus and joint pain... and ACTUALLY worked wonders on my german shepard larry bc hes almst 10now..and generally had a hard time getting up..not anymore
