Noobtastic14
One more time, I don't know why the tone is on there I recommend turning down your computer speakers until the bass hits. Sorry for being annoying- my favorite section is right around 1:45 when the woofers are moving pretty good while unloading below tuning. Noobtastic14
Tricky but not hard. All the layers were cut with a CNC router the hardest part was paying for enough wood for the baffle that is three layers thick plus the dozen or so stackup layers. Then it was just glue, clamp, bump. -Drew Quote I am a United States Military Arts and Crafts Professional. Sergeant_Skyrim
Wow that's f'ing sick...I watched it and listened and am still curious as to how they get that loud with only 250 watts. What's with this efficiency you mentioned and how come all woofers aren't made like that? Just a noob trying to learn! What's with this efficiency you mentioned and how come all woofers aren't made like that? Just a noob trying to learn! Well, this woofer has a very light moving mass and big spiders (10") as opposed to your average driver with closer to an 8" spider pack. This means that the speaker has big throw and is easy to move. The reason they are not all made like that is because this is not a power hungry sub. The XLs and other woofers sell because you can beat the shit out of them and they still play. These drivers are more touchy, they get pretty loud quick but due to the small motor mass they cannot dissipate heat as well as bigger motors so they can be vulnerable to overheating and burning the coil. Basicly, an overhung motor with small stiff spiders is better suited for the smaller high powered environments of cars as opposed to these which operate more like PA woofers that I have altered to suit my needs. or something like that. -Drew Quote I am a United States Military Arts and Crafts Professional.
