what is this beast tuned to?? i wana demo badlyy

Not sure exactly, but that one song in the hairtrick vid is 34 hz. It plays between 34-41 hz within a few tenths of a db

do you think your subs hitting in that range is because of custom parts?

ive got 2 12" hdc3's and i seem to get some pretty peaky response.

theyre getting 1k each and getting a tad over 2 cubes each. (didn't realize how mucha 8" aeroport took up)

and the box is tuned around 36Hz.

you seem to be smashing those lows by my set up just likes the highs a lot more.

think i should tune lower, or is that just the nature of HDC3's?

Mine is smashing the lows because of the painted surface and cone area and power. My old wall was hella peaky and almost same ratio and tuning as this wall. This wall is maybe a few hz tuned lower but destroys the lows compared to last wall. 1000+ sq inches of cone area will do that lol.

so if i'm looking to wreck some major lows i should look else where?

cause i'm loving my hdc3's but they peak so damn hard around 45 hertz.

and when i get the 27hz on Put On it's not audible.

so if i tune lower, say to 30Hz, it would just sound like crap? or would i just lower the peak of the subs?

not quite sure but iirc an 8" aero port is in the higher range of sqin since most people I see that run 2 12's with aero ports run 1 6" aero or 3 4" aero's, if that's the case then you might tend to have a peaky response due to the fact that you're running a bigger amount of port area, if you want to smash the lows will maintaining a broad response tune to 30hz with 9-12 sqin of port, if you want to smash the lows and only the lows tune to 30hz with lots of port 12+sqin per cube, my friend is running 2 HDC3 12's on a DC 3.5k at 1 ohm in a slot port box tuned to 30hz designed by robin at BHE and it absolutely destroys the lows but it doesn't really pick up that throat clinching bass because he's tuned that low with lots of port.

If you tune low with the HDC3s you will lose some major output wise, it will sound good, just not as loud. The AQs want high tuning unless you have alot of cone area was my point.
