Unless someone wants to set a 50lb sub on top of it. I know the panels look flat on the sides, but trust me they are tweeked every which way to meet all the contours in the trunk. Also to stay under the rubber lip they need to be thin to do the bend up there. Otherwise it will look like a flat panel on a curved lip. Or you can kerf a thicker piece, but like i said... All with a jigsaw, sharpie, and sandpaper.
