Under the dc amp is all open and the panel is only covering 1/2" of the top.

So no change as far as temp goes.

And thanks.

did you use 1/2" mdf? thats kinda how it looks, when i trim out trunks thats what i usually use cuz it offers some more rigidity then 1/4, but sometimes 1/4 is just fine. just curious. badass looking trunk indeed though!

edit. looking over it now it almost looks like you used masonite

1/8" masonite.

Sometimes i use 1/4", but typically 1/8" with supports is plenty.

Unless someone wants to set a 50lb sub on top of it. Lol

Also helps to be real thin when doing strange contours like in this car.

I know the panels look flat on the sides, but trust me they are tweeked every which way to meet all the contours in the trunk.

Also to stay under the rubber lip they need to be thin to do the bend up there. Otherwise it will look like a flat panel on a curved lip.

Or you can kerf a thicker piece, but like i said...

All with a jigsaw, sharpie, and sandpaper. Lol

Wasnt exacly at my shop.
