I'm feeling like I want to build a new box for my Level 4 12's M1's. I'm running the 2of them off a DC2k in a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. I'd like to fire forward and have the port in the middle or drivers side. I heard the cars sweet spot is 44hz and was wondering what ideas you guys might have as to what I should tune the box to, aero's/slot, middle or drivers side? My max dimensions are 36" wide between the wheel wells, 16" high under the rear deck, probably 3 1/2' to the end of the trunk. Definitely looking forward to your suggestions. Thanks.

Thx. I tried to pm Thor, but his inbox is full. CJ, thx for the suggestion.

How much of a difference do you think it would make if I went port middle instead of port drivers side for numbers? My OCD gets the best of me at times, lol.

I suggest port middle for daily with 2 subs. Thats my OCD talking, I like things symmetrical. Also, I think the subs load differently when the port is to the side. If your looking for competition numbers, do it drivers side.

Do port in the middle. Probably aero's... Check out MarioB's build, with his aero's in the middle. Looks clean and apparently it's hella loud, judging by his badass t/l score. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/129982-dc-audio-trunk-rebuild-a-pillars-now-started/page__st__600__p__1871666#entry1871666

I wanted mine to be symmetrical as well, so I built a dual box, with a divider in the middle, so each sub is in it's own chamber and has it's own port, one on the driver side and one on the passenger side.

But as you can see with my box, the rear seat trim gets in the way of the port..... If you've got the same problem, that's why I would recommend aero's in the middle.
