My buddy has this old re se-xxx subwoofer (spoke basket model) and I was wondering If I could convert it into a fi btl, because I only have one fi btl 18" and I would like another If I do convert it into a btl will they cancel each other out ????

explain how you would convert it to a btl.

To convert it to a btl:

Cut out the cone and spider assembly

Unbolt the magnet

Bolt in a BTL magnet

Re-cone as a BTL

Or better yet, since it would be cheaper and less effort:

Sell the XXX and buy a BTL

I have to change the magnet I though that I just had to recone it

To get the same T/S parameters you'd need the same motor as well.
