YoungTitan
Okay, i have a DC level 5 18. I got a rf t2k for pretty great deal. I'm in the beginning of my build and im wondering whats going on with this stupid amp ? My dc is a dual 1 ohm. SO i can wire to 2 ohms or .5... At 2 ohms that amp isnt doing crap to that sub. But i wired to .5 for about 15 mins and it was slamming it. My question is , would it be safe for my amp and also my electrical (which is stock at the moment) be okay ? untill i can do my big 3 when my 50 ft 0 ga comes in ? Extra battery (kinetic HC 2000) . Because the 1500 watts pushing out at 2 ohms is not doing any justice to this amp. I have metered my gain and looked at all the settings. Running 8 gauge speaker wire. i dont know what to do. HELP . CleanSierra
Why does everyone lately think running .5 is the cool thing to do. 1/2 ohm daily is ONLY for those that know what they're doing and have the electrical to back it up. If you need the power, but a BIGGER amp to run the 1 ohm you should. That amp will not like .5 ohms and will go into protect. Quote Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you. Bump4life
I don't even know how he is running 1500 true rms off of completely stock electrical. physically that is impossible unless your car comes stock with 2 or possibly 0 gauge wiring and a beefy bat. its not reccommended to run that amp at .5 even if you do have a electrical to back it up. Is it the BDCP version? If so run it at 2 ohms and you be at about same power maybe slightly less. Stock electrical is all car dependent. You dont know what hes driving.
