BrandonT94
Looking to buy a different amp since mine blew today. I have two 12" kickers with 800 watt max each. How big of an amp should i buy, what kind and where is the best place to buy at? I don't want to go out and spend a whole lot of money but I would like one that is going to last a while. KOZ89
if you're on a tight budget i'd go with this, http://www.audioque.com/AQ1200D-Amplifier_p_30.html or the higher model the aq2200, but tell you the truth, not going to make this a this vs this reply. Heard good things about the crescendo amps, look into the crescendo bc2000 model not sure what the price is, message twistedchild420 or something or one of the reps build coming late April, early May build log for 1 LVL 5 18" 87%ish done : http://www.stevemead...ab-dc-lvl-5-18/ 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 Slt Laramie Amplifier - AQ3500d.1 Sub - DC LVL 5 18" Highs - (2x) Selenium ST-350 Super Tweeters 8ohm Mids - Selenium 6" 200w midrange 6W4P (pair) Mids/Highs Amp - MB Quart ONX4.125 1000watt 4 ch Wiring - XP Flex 25' Red, 25' Black Alternator - Mechman 270amp Battery - XS power D3100, 1- Yellow top front more to come... Sergeant_Skyrim
That's it, tell him to get an amp that's probably bigger than his electrical can support (which might be why the first one blew for all we know) not to mention the fact that 800 max each means 400 RMS each. Depending on what ohm load you're wiring to could help you decide which amp would be good. If you're wiring to 2 ohms you might be good with a Hifonics Brutus BRZ1200.1D from Audiosavings. Decent price for the amount of power you'll be getting and should last a good while as long as you do what's necessary to keep it alive Build in progress

Watch the bass
Stick with a AQ 1200, good quality gut, goodpriced ~270 and realy good resale value, if the times come you want to grade up or that you need the space for a stroller.
