HatersGonnaHate Posted June 26, 2012 Report Posted June 26, 2012 That angle is what I was originally concerned about, but since you say that the curves angle it upwards, and they get louder after 50wrms, you should be golden. One Way Posted June 26, 2012 Report Posted June 26, 2012 How did the tweets sound?? I read somewhere that they were garbage, but the mids were good. T-line build- http://www.stevemead...e-t-line-build/
Lbox88 Posted June 26, 2012 Author Report Posted June 26, 2012 How did the tweets sound?? I read somewhere that they were garbage, but the mids were good. I don't have them mounted or hooked up yet, still waiting on some things to come in so I can look at hooking up and mounting my amp. UBL | Build Log
tigers9304 Posted June 26, 2012 Report Posted June 26, 2012 What size components are you using back there? I am sure I missed it somewhere. I am curious about the rings you made, would the speakers not mount in there without the rings? I am glad to see someone taking the doors off so I know what to expect doing mine. keep up the good work, it sure is helping me.

They're supposed to be 6.5's for each door, but the Cadence kit I got is actually more like a 6.75ish lol. Makes for a little bit of a tight fit. The stock speaker is all plastic basket and so the only way to have retrofitted those for a new speaker would have been to chop them up like I did. I'm sure you can find a set of speakers that come with an adapter though if you were to look around a little bit. UBL | Build Log
Lbox88 Posted June 26, 2012 Author Report Posted June 26, 2012 So, I'm going to do some measuring tonight to see if I can get the tweets higher. Grim and I got to talking and I looked back on the pic below, and if I get lucky, I just might have the depth I need to put them up in that top right corner near the green retainer clip. Lbox88 Posted June 26, 2012 Author Report Posted June 26, 2012 They're probably right at about .75"~1" ish with the flush mount cup, hence my initial hesitation. I'll find out one way or another later tonight. UBL | Build Log
