2004 GTO... bagged on CCW's... ever evolving...

Recommended Posts

I locked in my wheel purchase yesterday

So the plan is:

Restore BBS Style 5 17" wheels.

Purchase Red BBS center caps with gold lettering

Tires 205/40/17s

Eventually widen the rear wheels 2.5 inches and the front wheels 1.5 inches to give me total dimensions of 17X10.5 rears and 17X9.5 fronts.

Other soon to happen plans include a goldilocks front splitter

Here are a few pictures from the test fit of my "new" wheels. They are BBS style 5's (no replicas here). They need restored but I should be doing that during my break after this quarter of college. Plans: Lower coilovers, roll fenders (possibly pull rears), new tires these 1's are shot, red/gold bbs center caps.

Thanks. Yeah I need to lower my coilovers. The next descent weekend day we have in terre haute I will be lowering it about an inch in the rear and between 1 and 2 inches in the front. I don't know if I can keep it that low because the road quality here is terrible but we shall see.

I lowered my coilovers today. I apologize for the shitty phone pics

The rear was dropped to the lowest position on the bc's

I lowered the fronts up to about the width of 2 bc coilover adjuster tools, so I could probably go approximately 5-10 mm lower. I am rubbing fairly bad when turning so I am going to raise the car about about 2 to 4 mm tomorrow. Once I get new tires on my style 5's I should be clearing at the lowest setting on my coilovers atleast I hope so. Snow tires are tall to me

Here are some more pics of the low setting. I think it looks pretty good and could only look better with the bbs's
