mrd6 Posted April 19, 2013 Author Report Posted April 19, 2013 Aaannd some updates.... Brackets in and wires ready My nice mess of wires for now haha it will get cleaned up once I get 4 more g31s and actually make things nice. I have alot of ideas floating around for trimming stuff out but for now I just need to be running for the show this Sunday. MB Quart Q4.80 bridged to the mids...Turns out that it bridges in MONO so now I have no stereo in my mids which is super ghey but I'm sticking with it for now until i decide on a new direction for my mids and highs amps. It is way louder now at least so it should keep up with the sub-stage a bit better And the old alpine mrp-f240 piece that is bridged to the tweets. This one bridges in stereo but of course has a terrible crackle that can be heard at low volumes. FML I need to get new mids and highs amps haha Rear baffle in place! How bout some bracing and a healthy snack lol My Build Log: http://www.stevemead...-sundown-power/ Team NorthWestSPL

mrd6 Posted April 19, 2013 Author Report Posted April 19, 2013 Coming together very nicely!!! What is that you are using for bracing? Its 1" steel plumbing pipe. You can get it cut to length and threaded at home depot or wherever and then screw it into those flanges and lag screw the flanges into the enclosure walls....solid as fck lol I'll be using the same stuff for bracing the front chamber eventually as well My Build Log: http://www.stevemead...-sundown-power/ Team NorthWestSPL

WhiteMax87 Posted April 19, 2013 Report Posted April 19, 2013 Everything is lookin great man, keep it up! I've always liked those rodeos. That is a huge enclosure lol 2009 maxima, currently stock
mrd6 Posted April 19, 2013 Author Report Posted April 19, 2013 damn this thing looks sick. keep up the good work! Wall looks very solid, and I like the bracing idea Thanks guys, the bracing works really well. Ive used threaded rod in the past but I like this alot more since you dont have anything on the outside of the box when your done. Its also much easier to use in big shells like this where you couldnt get to the back to do threaded rod in certain places. looks good but thu did you decide to use all that 2x4 Do you mean why? To make the enclosure stronger, it was cheaper than layers of 3/4" ply. Ah man! I wish I could make it to the show on Sunday but I have to work! I'll have to get out to the next show so I can hear this thing! For sure! It probably wont even be that loud when I first fire it up so you wont be missing much lol Everything is lookin great man, keep it up! I've always liked those rodeos. That is a huge enclosure lol Thanks man, me too, they are great trucks. My Build Log: http://www.stevemead...-sundown-power/ Team NorthWestSPL
