Do you have student loans?

Hi guys. I've been paying my student loans for 3 years. My mother has been paying for 12 years and still has many years left. I came across this petition.

Like with the SOPA and Protect IP petitions, if enough of us sign, we might make a change. What are your thoughts on this?

Yep but mine was just to assist (was only about $1200, my dad was paying for most of it), so I'm not too worried. (virtually) Free credit history

Between my good grade scholarships and my 3 jobs I kept... I didn't have any loans.

Call me old fashoned, but if you get a loan, you should pay it back in full at the terms you agreed to. If you don't want to do the loan thing, then get a job.

That's what I was hinting at. You signed the contract, pay it off. But, by clearing these loans, those now out from under that debt can contribute to the economy by buying homes and trying to start business's, etc., etc.

You ran up the student loans you should pay them. We have enough people getting handouts. be proud and take pride in paying them off.

+1 on paying it off yourself. I think it would be nice to not have to pay back my student loans, but It's my responsibility to take care of my contractual agreement. I think there would be a better way to stimulate the economy than this IMO.
