You say idle amperage isn't a concern? You have to find some criteria to compare the alts to. If idle isn't important I'd go with cheapest and also best warranty as previously said. ANNNND if tha warranty ever has to be dealt with, who is going to meet your needs at THAT point?

Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

no one calls DCpower anymore? lol

No one calls dc power, or deals with them because of the stories we read here.

"alt took 10 months to ship, then they sent the wrong one"

Singer has a lifetime warranty I do believe.

huh, i guess everyone ignored the stories like mine where they sent my alt out the very same day. i called to ask some questions and rob called me later from his cell phone to make sure I had all my questions answered. there is no possible way that any company could have treated me better. most of the bad stories i heard from DC customers have been special orders and ya, those take a long time.

their alts and not crazy expensive. they have different models with different price points. their top of the line alt is expensive but its the best alt you could find. thats why the military buys it from them.

If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood.

Mechman is a strong alt. I wish I could have got them to do one of their 270 amp units for my car. I have a 220 and it is great, but the output at idle is not what I wanted. I guess that's what I get for having a pain in the ass car to get an alt into. If there were more room then I could have done one of their 270's.

Well.. I have run all companies you have listed other than EA but I know about 4 people locally that have. Go with Mechman, I've had two friends who just had their EA alts die when they were almost brand new. The singer I had in my Truck was junk so that leaves you with Mechman which I just put in my truck. Great service.. good product.

Edit: DC Power makes the best product on the market, no doubt.. Have one in my malibu, If you have a GM vehicle you get your alt fast.
