I hear that soldering, initially, & over time, ends up weakening the wire(s). A good, solid, top-notch crimp is the ONLY way to go. Yes? A bench vice or hammer doesn't count as a proper crimper. The last 1000+ 1/0 wires/cables I have made have all been terminated with mega crimpers and you could pull the ring with a truck and it wouldn't come off. Now that is what I am talking about!!!!
