Pasta Prime
Make the shape in mdf first. Then double stick or hot glue the pieces together and use a flush trim on a router to copy that to the plexi I always forget about the flush trim bit. That is a great idea. New build coming........ Jdweatherford
just me take nothing from it...... im looking at having the laser operators at work cut al the pieces for a custom plexi box on the laser table......... my only concern is them not paying attention and scratching the surface....... (even with the vinyl protectant).... the company has cut 1 1/2 plexi before with no probs.... hopefully they wont F up 3/4" plexi

Pasta Prime
Lasers sound like cheating. lol I wished I had access to that. Can it cut complex curves and such? I assume so. Mha
How good is that hifonics amp? I have a hifonics zxi150.4 wich is good but since they no longer make it I cant find an other to match. It heats up bad too but has never turned off on me. Well maybe its the fact that my soundstream comp are 3ohm and im running it at 1.5 per channel. I like it though. Would you recomend it? Does it do anything close to rate? It seams way to small for the power it says it puts out.

mttornquist
In my experience a lot of sanding and a buffing wheel can get the edges looking real shinny! You can also flame pollish it with a blow torch but it is more tedious and it is easy to boil the edge of the Plexiglas of you hold the torch for too long. Ps. Plexi is a bitch to get a good bend out of. Thought I would throw that out there My Build Log: http://www.stevemead...lmost-complete/
