bassface
I would almost think some sort of fluid cooling, using like a transmission cooler, a small pump and some aluminum transmission line. But thats pretty extreme.

9515ROB
get an excessive amperage alt because you can get the option of having external diodes which keeps your voltage up when your alternator gets hot Quote - 1998 Ford Mustang - Time to rebuild. 4 15s and alot of power TEAM DTF
ALAMO695
Run a one inch wire or bigger hose from someplace hidden in the front of the car (behind the grill or something) and route it to have it blow on the alt somewhere. You can also get creative and add a fan to the front of the hose (part where the air is forced into) and it will improove airflow
Zapanater
Wow that is one hell of a place for them to put the altarnator. Right between the cylinder banks.... I advise relocation of it if possible. Quote 2015 Subaru Outback. That is all, I refuse to touch it.

MECHMAN
That alternator already has twin internal fans. The best way to make it run cooler would be to cut a hole in the hood with a scoop to provide fresh air, or to possible make a duct to go from the front of the vehicle to the rear of the alternator were it takes in air to cool the rectifier. 87chevyboi
if i were you id take some rubber hose pretty thick but not to thick where you cant bend it and run it to the lower valance of the car or behind the grill or somewhere and make it blow right on the alternator, i have never done it to an alternator but i have done it to the intake. Its like putting a cold air intake on a car as long as its not it the engine bay it will work but if you run a cold air intake and have it in your engine next to all the heat how is it going to work?
