Brandon15zzz
Orion. Gtoguy was having a problem with water getting in on his passenger do running around his speaker. Which got wet and shorted out. When we pulled his speaker out of the door it had about a tablespoon of water that fell out of it. He used shallower speakers and on that side made a duck tape cover over the speaker. Which has kept it fine since then. But yes it can short out your speaker. KillaCam
I guess an easy quick fix would be to use those foam boots or whatever they're called. Spray the back with something to water proof it and it should be safe. And the fact more than one person agrees does not make it a circle jerk, it makes it a bukkake scene and you're in the middle Chick took 3 shots of Jager, and then, pissed in my mouth.. Lbox88
Problem with those boots are that it creates a sealed environment, so if you're really beating on them they might end up getting pretty hot after a while. UBL | Build Log
OrionStang
Thanks for the input guys. I'll go out and check the weather seals. Water has always gone in the door, but this is the first time it went straight for the speaker opening, always something LOL. OrionStang
Went out and looked at the water issue, twice actually. I can see where the water goes in, looks like its designed to so it doesn't pool along the weather strip. Once it gets inside though, I'm dumbfounded. The most obvious path to the speaker opening is along the top door brace and then dripping down to the opening. BUT, thi would mean the water has to cling to the brace for 5-6 inches at a slight upward angle. Only thing I can think is that it is happening due to the 'pressure' of the water of the carwash. Ill do some testing with lightly pouring water when my wife gets off work. If pressure is the culprit, ill just have to avoid the drive through wash and go to the hand wash. We shall see. OrionStang
The new ones ain't that bad. At least they don't leave swirls in the CC like the handwash guys and their dirty ass towels. It does need a real good cut and buff, that's for sure. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
