Wheel well won't like it on a stock Mustang fender. Iirc 265's will rub like hell under compression with a 35 series tire on a 18 inch wheel. I know everyone has their own thing. I just couldn't see riding down the street with out having a LC1 with a high 40's system on the other end of it. OrionStang Posted December 13, 2013 Author Report Posted December 13, 2013 If you put a wide tire that is more narrow than recommended, you actually lost contact patch. The sidewall is pulled in to meet the rim, bringing the edge of the tread down with it. Also, it looks retarded to have a tire wider than the rim, as the sidewall seems to 'bulge'.
