OrionStang Posted February 12, 2015 Report Posted February 12, 2015 Looks bomb^^^, the shrimp and the chicken. For tonight, I have my spin on creamy celery and mushroom smothered chicken breasts. First I salt and pepper the breasts (3.5lbs today) and also use garlic powder and message them into the meat. Chop up some celery and make a bed on bottom of crock pot. In a bowl, mix one can cream of celery soup and one can cream of mushroom soup both low sodium version. At this time, I also season the soup mixture with salt and pepper, being careful with the salt since the garlic salt on the chicken is a little strong. Layer the chicken in on top of the celery bed, then pour the soup mixture over it, spread evenly. Finally, top with a 4 oz can of chopped button mushrooms. Set it on low for 5-6 hours. Ill be serving it over egg noodles. Easy and amazing. So this came out tasting fucking amazing. The chicken was a little too tender, so ill cut an hour off it next time. Even though the sauce was awesome, it was more watery than it should be. I tried to thicken it up with plain yogurt and corn starch at the 5 hour mark, but it didn't help. Might try adding the corn starch a little earlier next time. 1 cup of noodles, 1 breast (4 to 5oz) and a couple spoons of sauce was satisfying as fuck. Oh, I forgot in the original post, add two bay leaves before you put the top on the cooker. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread

Ahmed Johnson Posted February 12, 2015 Report Posted February 12, 2015 I'll be honest, I don't too much like lasagna. I grew up off pastichio so I prefer that. I like spinach lasagna but not a fan of the regular kind.
OrionStang Posted February 12, 2015 Report Posted February 12, 2015 Lasagna can be anything you want it to be. Stouffers makes a frozen vegetable lasagna that is fucking bomb, especially as a freezer food. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread

Ahmed Johnson Posted February 12, 2015 Report Posted February 12, 2015 I feel you. The main thing about traditional lasagna that I don't like is the red sauce. The spinach lasagna I ate always had alfredo sauce. I just considered it a casserole.
OrionStang Posted February 12, 2015 Report Posted February 12, 2015 I make a spinach and ground turkey lasagna with alfredo sauce that is fucking bomb. Still uses ricotta and mozzerella. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
