Sensitive topic around here man... I'll follow accordman and leave it as is

well no i wasn't being sensitive i just wanted to discuss it a lil bit more that's all. i'm up for no arguing but i myself think Rf overbuilds their amps on purpose which is always a good thing because you get more than what you paid for. we all love RF and we know there's some good competitors out there but it is what it is.

The reason why i believe he has nothing to say, no matterwhats found or proven, just like Fi on this forum its pointless to point out as there will always be some kinda discreditation to anything found.

i see it like every other market, you try to have a good experience, but if you have a bad one you let everyone know to try to let them be in the know about said experience. Its hard at times though when a product is supposedly null and void from that process.

well it's like before i got my first hifonics 1500d, i heard about hifonics and i reviewed that amp for weeks ........ searching for bad things about it and couldn't find anything so i went along with getting it back in 06. i prefer RF amps but heck i couldn't pass on the deal for the money.

Hey guys,

This is the owner of the bangin Altima....

All Derrick and I are trying to do is test two amps that make about the same power. We are not trying to piss anyone off or anything.

Fact: one RF 1k --does around 1490 watts or so

fact: one sundown 1.5k---does around 1510 watts or so

Fact: the sundown did one tenth better....big deal.

I can't see any better of a match up between two amps.... i believe this is comparing apples to apples...

Is this gonna make me sale my RF's, no way.

Later

If you build it, db's will come...

NSPL World Record Holder Trunk 0-1800 watts---147.9 with 1722 clamped watts @ 40Hz(9-20-09).

Competition Only Record Holder Trunk 0-500 watts---148.1

2006 Nissan Altima 3.5 SE

Currently Rebuilding....

My 150db Plus Trunk Build

I do box designs.

i think the real point here is everyone on the RF side is whining about it being a 1k amp, but everyone here is fast to say steves t4ks are 5k each but when it comes to testing to somethign else they are 1k rated amps. but yet steves sub power is 20k not 16k because hes running 4 4k amps not what the birthsheet says.

It just seems that the birthsheets only mean anythign when they benefit the owners of the equipment imo.

and what im telling you is YOU get to go by the lower rating EXACTLY 1500 watts because "sundown dont have a birthsheet" but the RF amps DOES have a birthsheet so it automaticly has to go by that. Now you know the sundown doesnt do JUST 1500 watts just like the RF doesnt JUST do 1000 especially if you start dropping it down to 1/2 ohm.

im trying to tell you if your going off purely the manufacturer's ratings for sundown then thats what the RF gets to go by because they are BOTH underrated.

so now if someone buys a T1000 and it doesnt come with a birthsheet......does this become a 1000w amp vs a 1500 watt amp battle again?
