Isn't smd coming out with a new sub? Idk but why now switch to 4 15s and run 3k why run ur equipment to the limit 7k is alot and a little clip will fuck ur shit up just my suggestion

2 18"s is the max aloud for the class I'm competing in. I am seriously debating doing 4 15"s though

OP are you planning on spending more than your return on the SMD's? If not then you can count a couple of those subs out your plans. I know for sure the top suggested ones are more for 1 than what your getting for 2 SMD's.

Budget is $2k for subs.

Yeah you can get some mean subs for that price range but I promise you if you ask for a quote on said subs that you cant find a price for on the internet that you turn the other way. If I was you I would go with the SP4's and that's only if you absolutely want to sell the SMD's. Then again that's just what I would do. I try to stay away from anything that doesn't have an advertised price.

RE MT'S 18, RE XXX 15, Alpine Type X 12, Orion HCCA 15.....Pretty sure they take as much power if they are in a good box

I hear the DD95 has some issues of the surround ripping.

Same with the DC lvl 6.

I have not heard or seen this issue with the 15s or 18s. Your Level 6 12 is the only one I have seen an issue with because the soft parts were never designed to be built as a 12. You pushed it past its limits and the surround tore. It would have been perfectly fine on 5k. There are options that will be available that will prevent this issue in the future.

Pretty much any good Neodymium motor sub. Incriminator Warden, DC Neo, DD Z...

Did you read the 2k budget. That's the cost of one DC Neo.not sure about the others but I know their up in the price range also.

I wouldnt put 6k+ daily to the DC neo, or any 3" coiled sub. I think everyone is missing the glaring point here. No 3" coil is going to easily take 6k daily, I dont care what sub/motor is being used. When you get into that type of power, a sub with a 4" coil is where you need to be looking, and the OP is obviously on the right track since he already has SMDs.
