WHICH AMP DOES 2400 WATTS AT 2 OHMS?!?

I can't think of any lower powered ones at the moment, but almost all Rockford Power amps are strapable. To strap an amp, they for one need to be able to do that. When you get amps that can do it, they will tell you how to make those strap, the reason why I suggested it, is most amps can't be strapped at 1 ohm, normally 2 ohms. Which is exactly what you are looking for as a final ohm load. You could possible just pick up another of the exact same amp that you currently have and just gain match the amps to make sure they are identical in output.

if he gets 2 amps might as well just run 2 subs at 1ohm on each amp

That what I was thinking, just get another of the amp hes got and run them both at 1 ohms, would be a hell of a lot cheaper.

I'll admit, half way through sanding that fiberglass in the rain and cold while I was all itchy I was definitely starting to question why i was doing this haha

yeah but then you have to go through the hassle of gain matching them. strapping would be MUCH easier imo since you just do the settings on the master amp and the slave amp matches them automatically

Well since i already have a hifonics hfi 1500 and 2 OA 15's i might as well just get another hifonics hfi 1500 and 2 more 15's

They can handle 750 rms each, its just that... will 3000 rms destroy my stock alt?

i dont want to upgrade it yet, but i have seen a sundown ns-1 on a stock alt with 4 batteries...

NOTHING DOWN HERE YET :(

i dont think those amps are strapable. plus they dont really do rated power. and yes 3000w will destroy a stock electrical system. you're looking at a high output alternator from mechman or dc power, plus a group 31 agm battery or two

Very true, all up to this guy if he wants it to be easier, or cheaper. I have never gain matched, but trying to hit a certain voltage while adjusting gain, IS A REAL BITCH.

Edit: ^^^^ yes, you will need to get a H.O. alt, and more than likely a upgraded front battery accompanied by a rear battery. Depending on what you can fit upfront.

Well if the hfi 1500 arent giving out rated power than thats perfect, 1200 rms is exactly spot on, but...

Stock alternator with 2 hifonics hfi 1500's

with 3 Batteries, bad idea or will i manage?

NOTHING DOWN HERE YET :(
