/\ LMAO

numbers are in!!!

45 hz

55 x 7 =385

2nd run @ 45 hz : 49 x 4= 196.... (2nd run was like 10 seconds after first)

40 hz

49 x 3 =147

sweep 50-60hz

37 x 6=222

so its ALL over the place.... and i had to do it with my hatch open so i could read the clamp meter and dmm so prob not 100% accurate but close...... so i guess 45 hz is the "sweet spot" huh?

kinda thought the amp would put out less than that..... surprised me !

thats with stock alt, 2 batts, big 3. i have a 3rd battery but havent hooked it up yet lol havent needed to.

now if i divide the numbers i get box rise of impedence?

also picked up a shitty walmart spl meter ( like 6 months ago) for $5...... says i did a 136 on a single 15 rf p2 svc 4 ohm in a SMALL box on SMALL power box is 1.86 cubed i think (sealed)..... so maybe im in the ballpark of that?

doesn't sound too bad really. is it a 1000w max amp? if so then the bridged RMS should be around 400, you got up to 385.

Impedance rise is tricky since it can be different at every frequency. It is hard to say you have a certain amount of rise, best bet is to A: not worry about it too much and B: if you do worry about it find your max rise and go from there.

nice :) and yea 1000 w MAX amp....ive been told if i get 350 rms out of it i would be lucky..... so not too bad i guess.... this rf p2 15 i have is only rated at like 250 rms and it takes this power like a champ for sure.... not much more than rated but we all know RF is under rated..... i need a new box my box is a prefab and it saw water at one point.....its sealed still as far as my hands are concerned ( with a lil caulk and some more screws) but its ugly and im sure i could hit better numbers with a better box.....

so if i divide the numbers from the clamp test i would see what my impedence actually was at that instant or do i hafta add or subtract that from what im wired to?

I clamped my kenwood 9105d yesterday. Clipped I get 51.3v and 13.2A at 40hz, im tuned around 32-35hz. Hatch open car at idle so mad voltage drop, probably 11.8v so 677watts and 3.9ohm rise from 1.9ohm at rest. now if i could only find my dd-1 cd and a friend to rev the engine,i can see what it does un-clipped.
