While the officer in question might have made what appears to be "mistakes" to you might not be seen that way to a judge. Both the officer and your dad will be able to plea their case to the judge. VA cops are worse...trust me I LOVE when people get mad about getting pulled over for BREAKING THE LAW... If you werent doing something illegal then you wouldnt get stopped /story Va cops are NOT bad they are no worse than any other cops as far as stopping people for illegal things A guy I work with bought a truck about a two months ago that the previous owner had put tint on. The tint was 35%, legal limit for the front windows are 50% here. One day on his way to work he got pulled for tint. JUST window tint... The very next day he got pulled over again by the same cop on the very same street at the same time (coming to work). One day isn't even enough time to fix it... It just seems like the cops are just wasting time pestering people for small things to get the money instead of looking for the bigger fish to fry. I ended up taking the tint off for the guy after he got his second ticket. It is an officers descreation to use both of those in their decison makeing. Not all do, and I will go on the record again saying that not all people who carry a badge should. Rolex you sicken me. purplesyrup Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 Dad and i are heading down to play a practice roound in southern IN. Welll, we were in the left lane 5 lane highway, speed limit 55. We were going 67-68 (with traffic). Guy flags us down from a about a 1/4 mile away, so we pull over. Guy says we were going 71, we are about 99% he shot the guy next to us but since we were in the left lane he assumed it was us? Also the ticket says the wrong car...it say a 08 Camry Hybrid (old car) instead of the new Lacross. Seems like the cop wasnt even paying attention. Anyways what can be said if dad were to go to court? Figure it would be cheaper to drive and go to court, compared to paying $200+ for the ticket. Any useful advice appreciated. It will get thrown out right away
